Detoxification

Detoxification, or detox as the process is usually labeled, is a process whereby the body is extinguished of unwanted and perilous poisons that may have built up throughout the years.  Every delicacy we eat, every supplement we take, and every liquid we drink are made up of thousands, if not millions, of varying materials.  While most of these ingredients may be perfectly healthy for our bodies, there will always be a few of them that can potentially be injurious in big amounts.

The body, unfortunately, is not always able to rid itself of these harmful materials.  They pile up within the body until such time when their level reaches disastrous levels.

Detoxification is meant to remedy such a possibility by especially focusing on these toxins and eliminating them so that the body can enjoy a healthier existence.

There exist 3 classifications of detoxification procedures:

1.    Oral detoxification, which in a nutshell, the intake of detoxifying medications which will work their way inside the system.
2.    Dietary detoxification, that is, restricting the patient's diet to food types that are made to eliminate undesirable substances rather than adding to the level of these dangerous substances.
3.    External detoxification, that is, the implementation of numerous procedures on the surface of the body to produce the desired benefit of cleansing the system of hazardous toxins.

There are many kinds of external detoxification.  Electricity and magnetism for the ionization of water is used for detox foot baths, for example.  Custom-made shoe cushions are used as detox foot pads.  Laser of varying frequencies is applied for laser acupuncture.  relaxing scents are even resorted to for special types of aromatherapy with purifying effects.

Think of your body as a car.  After a few years, you'd need to reserve it for a comprehensive tune-up.  It is highly like that rust may have accumulated in its pipes, pile ups may be disrupting its valves, and dirt may be weighing down its engine.  The same goes for your body.  Even truer, your system demands better maintenance than a vehicle.  After all, you use your car for a limited time per day only.  But you use your body round the clock.
